Here is an update from the Pullman-Moscow Water Resources Committee:
An intern from the U of I has produced a Power Point slide
presentation for us. The presentation discusses our local water
situation with an emphasis on water conservation and efficiency. If
your local organization would like to see this presentation (free of
charge) please contact me to schedule a date.
We now have a brochure entitled "Efficient Water Use on the Palouse."
If you would like a copy, or have suggestions as to where we could
make it available, let me know.
We now have a homepage at www.uidaho.edu/~avolmer. The homepage
contains most information found in the brochure.
The Committee is currently in the process of revising its Ground
Water Management Plan. This document introduces the Committee, its
authority and intergovernmental agreements; discusses local geology
and hydrology; and lists goals and action plans for each entity
represented on the Committee (Moscow, Pullman, U of I, WSU, Latah and
Whitman Counties). Contact me for a free copy of the plan; we
welcome your input!

"Water Conservation Opportunities for the Palouse, a Water
Conservation Handbook." This 43 page handbook was produced for the
Committee last year, by PCEI.
"1995 Annual Palouse Water Use Report" published in March 1996.
The next meeting of the Pullman-Moscow Water Resources Committee will
be held at 1:30 p.m. on January 8, 1997, at a location to be
announced. We will be discussing changes to the Ground Water
Management Plan. The public is always welcome to attend meetings.
