Matt Kitterman--I had scheduled 5-9 pm on the 24th in Deary to work
with my campaign committee knocking on doors and visiting voters in the Deary
area. The commitment was made over six weeks ago. In an evening with good
persistence one can knock on at least 100 doors. Again, I told the forum
organizer that I keep my commitments in our conversation of several weeks
ago. I offered him several alternatives however he reported that the
schedule had been set (with no input from the candidates relevant to their
schedules). This is unfortunate but with the intensive schedule of the
last 7 weeks of the campaign there is little room to be flexible.
