Subject: economic impact of housing codes
Priority: normal

A city planner for a 40,000 population community called the
other day with an inquiry regarding anticipating the economic impact
of adopting a community minimum standards housing code. I suspect
there has been empirical work to assess the economic impact of
housing codes. Anyone have any leads?
