Hey Kay, and all---
Sure, 2020 is still happening......
I earlier posted a list of 5 projects for the year. As in five
things that are happening.
Here's an update on the two that I was involved in--

Traffic Calming--
At the Polka Street block party, homeowners on the block voted 10
to 1 to support traffic calming on the street to slow vehicles and make
the street safer. Next, the results will be taken to the Moscow Public
Works Committee meeting on Sept 9. Everything seems to point to this
first demonstration project in place next summer. 2020 will likely be a
sponsor of a public meeting to explain this stuff.

Professional Law Enforcement--I facilitated the first meeting of a
Latah County group (Citizens for Community-Based Law Enforcement), a group
that hopes to encourage a more pro-active system in the county. The group
will co-sponsor with 2020 two community forums, the first to educate the
public about community-based law enforcement and the second to question
both candidates for Latah sheriff about their plans. The forums will be
held in October.

But Kay is right, there has been little on the list lately. Let's
keep those cards and letters coming.
