Don Armstrong, superintendent of the Potlatch School district, says
the subdivision won't bring in enough tax revenue to pay for educating
additional students who live there:
"It is going to cost everybody more money, if more kids come to school." If th
e council approves the subdivision, residents need to be prepared to pay
higher taxes, Armstrong said.
This challenges the conventional wisdom that "growth pays for itself by
expanding the tax base," doesn't it?
