I would like to reiterate what I posted earlier. Idaho used to have an
NPR affiliate in Moscow, and the Idaho lege yanked funding for it and the
public TV station because they didn't like the content (TV stories on
Idaho's gay population and on cedar theivery by loggers took the heat).
The stated rationale was that this area did not need two stations, that
one was adequate to cover the area, +and that it would.+
If they are getting our money, and they are (mine), and they list us in
their service area, they should cover us. It would not have taken any
more than a phone call to the Lewiston State Police office to find out
about Idaho roads and then repeat what they were told on the air. That's
not asking very much. Instead, we were treated to reams of info on
Blewett Pass (anyone besides me know where it is, or ever have driven
it?). THat is my complaint.
Cheers,
Lisa
