Readers of these lists might beinterested in the following events:

* Feb. 13 (today) at 7 p.m. -- William Dietrich, science reporter for
the Seattle Times, speaks at the CUB Auditorium at WSU. His topic is
"Shy Science, Wary Public: A DAte Made in Hell?" Dietrich is the author of
"The Final Forest: The Battle for the Last Great Trees of the Northwest."

* Feb. 22 -- James Kunsler, author of the book "The Geography of Nowhere,"
will speak at 7:30 p.m. at Room 10 of the UI Forestry Building. His talk,
"How to Screw Up a Town," is sponsored by the UI College of Art& Architecture.

*March 1 and 2 -- Randall Arendt, author of "Rural By Design," will conduct
a planning workshop at the Moscow Community Center. Registration is $20
and seating is limited to 60 persons. More information is available from
Dale Pernula at MOscow City Hall. There will be a community potluck at
6 p.m. on March 1, also sponsored by PCEI... it's open to everyone, not
just workshop participatnts.
