IN case you are not aware, Mountainveiw park was created almost
specifically for more playing fields. It would be nice to see the park
enlarged and turned into a more traditional park. There really are not an
overabundance of ball fields in this area. During the softball/baseball
season all of the playing fields are used almost nightly. As far as
soccer fields, it doesn't seem feasable that they can be used as
multipurpose fields, at least not for base/softball because of the
conflicting needs, i.e. bases, mounds and the like. Sure football,
soccer, rugby and other field sports can be played on the same fields.
Until the developement of the Mt. View Park the only soccerfields were
those at Guy Wicks field.
