A second round of workshops to gather public comment on the design for
improvements to Mountain View Road (6th St. to 'F' St.) has now been
scheduled. The design to be displayed for comment in this second round is
"preferred"-- that is, consistent with accepted design standards, and
reflective of comment gathered from adjacent property owners and the general
public at the first workshops, but still preliminary. A city-wide bond
election is scheduled for Feb. 6, 1996 to supplement an ISTEA grant obtained
for the project. The coming drop-in workshops are meant to increase public
awareness, and to assure that the project design is in fact preferred
community-wide.

Workshop times and locations are as follows:

Tuesday, December 5:
Palouse Empire Mall (near Andrews Hallmark) -- 10:00 am to mall closing.

Wednesday, December 6:
East Side Market Place -- 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
