Lets get WATER back on the table. how does adding new jobs to moscow
affect our water supply?
What does siting the Ind. Park on Mountain View mean for TRAFFIC--where is
some long range planning for alternatives to more cars? Rail passes the
site-I've yet to hear anyone but me mention it. When does Moscow get some
city transit. That $800K in borrowing power could get us a nice fleet of
busses.
And how many of your under-employed friends have the skills that will be
desired by the new Park businesses? Alas, Moscow's job situation will
continue to squeeze out a number of my friends with non-tech backgrounds.
So i take issue with Hodge et al that the businesses will employ current
residents.
I concur w/ Lori in applauding Bill for speaking out (and getting in the
paper), but its difficult to oppose the "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs" chant without
being percieved a nut. It might be better to fight conservative fire with
fire and chant "No New Taxes" or "Government Intereference in Free
Markets". The electorate might hear one of those ideas.
Makes me wish I could have voted for Dudley. (You listening Pam?)
