Visionaries:

Last Friday Dale Pernula posted a discussion draft dealing with the
Moscow Area of City Impact to this discussion list. This draft is being
proposed as a new chapter of the Moscow Comprehensive Plan . As you should
be aware, the Moscow P&Z Commission is in the process of revising the entire
comprehensive plan. We would like to post at least major sections of these
revisions -- in discussion draft form -- to the Vision 2020 discussion list
over the next few months.

I have been astounded by the total lack of response so far from this
discussion list. This is important. This is the way that that the kind of
planning concepts that you have been discussing get translated into city
policies and development actions. The P&Z Commission hopes to be able to
get significant public input from this source.

Please read the discussion draft. If you've already deleted it, ask
me and I'll forward you another copy. Is it appropriate to add such a
chapter to the Moscow comprehensive plan? Do you agree with the goals and
policies expressed in the chapter draft? Do you have specific points of
agreement or disagreement with the draft? Can you suggest alternative
language? Is there additional information which we could provide which
would help? Are we on the right track at all?

Please -- somebody say something! Also -- print off some copies and
distribute them to non-subscribing visionaries.
