The Moscow Parks and Recreation Commission will host a public meeting on
April 4 at 5:15pm at the Eggan Youth Center to discuss the final
placement of the expanded playground at East City Park--and the big
one--new regulations for park use in Moscow.
The new regulations proposed will have a chilling effect on our
right to assemble on public property and on our right to use our city
property for community-building events and activities.
The existing system is fine. We don't need this extra government
regualtion.
For more details of the plan, Jim Jacobs wrote a nice piece on
the subject in Saturday's (April 1) Lewiston Tribune.
Big drag is that I will be in San Fransisco and unable to attend
the meeting. Hopefully others will be there. BL
