I read P. Salant's review of the recent PZ hearing. I attended all of the
same hearing, and was prepared to present the opposition view to the
rezone.That opposition includes farmers, workers, single individuals,
families, pioneer families, life-long residents and concerned citizens from
inside the city. I disagree with Salant's review--I do not believe the
arguments made were "convincing" and many of Schwam's comments were
factually in error. I urge Vision 2020 to objectively examine the issues
surrounding this rezone--much more is at stake than views or rural
lifestyles for the wealthy.
