The current (March 15-21) issue of the Inlander, a free weekly published
in Spokane, has a cover story called "Signs of Growth: preserving the good
life in north Idaho." There are actually 3 related articles of interest
to 2020 folks:
1. The commercial and residential boom in Post Falls, including quotes from
tax activist Ron Rankin about how existing taxpayers are subsidizing the
growth.
2. An article that originally appeared in the Providence, RI, Phoenix about
how communities in New England are fighting Wal Mart.
3. A shorter article on how Colville, Wash., is coping with its Wal Mart.

The Inlander is available on the free-publication rack at Rosauers on
north Main, and there was a stack of 20 or so left as of Wednesday evening.
The new issue usually comes in on Saturdays. Kenton
