Following is a schedule of public agencies, boards and commissions that
meet regularly in Moscow and Latah County. Volunteers are sought to
attend these meetings and report significant activities on the 2020 list.
City of Moscow
Public Works Committee, every Monday, 7 a.m.
Administrative Committee, every Monday, 4:30 p.m.
City Council, 1st and 3rd Mondays, 7:30 p.m.
Planning and Zoning Commission, 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m.
Health and Environment Commission, 2nd Tuesday, 7 p.m.
Arts Commission, 2nd Tuesday, 7 p.m.
Parks & Rec Commission, 4th Tuesday, 4 to 5 p.m.
Historic Preservation Commission, 1st Thursday, 4:30 p.m.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets only when it has requests for variances4
or conditional use permits.
Latah County P&Z
1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 7 p.m. (room 2-B, courthouse)
(Suvia has volunteered to go to the 2nd meeting of each month, when they
will discuss "planning" issues... someone is still needed for the 1st meeting
of the month when they hear zoning requests.)
Moscow School Board
4th Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. (sometimes special meetings in the interim)
Joint breakfast meeting
(Moscow, Latah Co., School District and University of Idaho)
1st Wednesday, 7 a.m., Mark IV
(next meeting is this Wednesday, March 1)
every three months, Pullman and Whitman County representatives are
invited. next two-county meeting is in April
Pullman-Moscow Water Resources committee
usually the 2nd Thursday of each month, 2:30 p.m., WSU McCluskey building
future meetings are March 9, April 13, May 11 and June 8
Moscow-Latah Economic Development Council
1st Wednesday, 12 noon, Moscow Hotel, luncheon
committee meetings in interim
In addition to these meetings, it might be useful for someone to track
the following issues which transcend a particular board or commission:
water quality/supply
transportation - roads and streets
transportation - bikes, pedestrians and buses
youth issues
housing
agriculture/forestry
A similar schedule could be produced for Pullman and Whitman County
boards and commissions. Would any of our 2020 folks in Pullman be
willing to take this on?
