A thing to do might be to focus on one of the questions and start discussing
it. I put too many in that last message; its not productive to have too
many threads going at once. What, in your view, is the QUESTION? The
place to start?

I've found that generally individuals are more involved the closer to home
and issue strikes. It's hard to build up a full head of steam on broad
based issues with effects which are difficult to feel immediately. (kind
of a symptom or our 15sec attention span...)

A second problem is that although the e-media can be a vehicle for the
discussion, but the decision makers aren't on-line yet. The coffee
shops, meeting rooms, and offices of these folks are likely where the
parameters of "decisions" are made and public involvement at the
open/announced meetings can be more of a bother and distraction to
(from their viewpoint) than a benifit. It may be that it will take a
long time to evolve away from the "good-ol-boy" world of the
past/present....

So lets use the v2020 list as a kitchen table....I think using it as a
list for primarily for meeting announcements is a bit like using a combine
to plow a field, sure it'll do it, but it can also do much more.

Here's the REAL rub. See, I'm pretty much of a hermit and a-social
kind of being. Much more accessible (and expressive) through this medium
than a group environment. I'll gladly do mail all day, but HATE to
get in the rig and drive to town. Maybe its that the access (for me
anyway) is much easier. So, no promises on making the meeting, but
I'm always here.
