If it is me that is to present the material, I'm not comfortable
presenting it to the P&Z. Quite frankly, after the comments made
in the December Comp Plan meeting about the survey by P&Z members
(Hoey excepted), I consider it a waste of time. The P&Z NEVER
REALLY bought into it and disowned the survey at that
meeting (again, Hoey excepted). Even Lorreca voted against the
public opinion survey early on! Therefore, I see no compelling
reason to present the results to the P&Z first. As far as I know,
the County did not pay any money so there is no formal obligation
to include the P&Z first.
If it is me (rather than Bill), I would be more comfortable presenting
the results to the Commissioners because I think that they can listen
objectively to the results. With this group, I can wear my
"objective" social scientist hat rather than activist hat and it
would work.
If you can get Bill to present to the P&Z, I think that would
be great. But I think the odds are pretty slim. He's as busy
as I am.
