>From Suvia:
Rural Residential Rezone committees 1 and 2, which several 2020 members served
on, have been asked to prsent/review their work products to the Latah County P&
Z on Feb. 15. How this meeting goes could determine how we balance housing dev
elopment and farming/open space in the county. Please read or re-read the prop
osals of Committee 1 (dealing with alternatives like cluster development) and c
ome participate. If you have better solutions, great! I think the public need
s to provide the P&Z and County Commissioners with a menu of well-spelled out a
lternatives.

>From Kenton:
Committee 2, which discussed ways of gathering public response to Committee 1's
ideas, needs to meet again before the 15th. Steve Cooke has suggested the wee
k of Feb. 6. We need additional viewpoints to help us decide whether to go thr
ough with the proposed newspaper insert to be distributed countywide. Anyone w
ho's interested should contact me.

Suvia has some additional observations and analysis of last week's joint meetin
g between the P&Z and County Commissioners that I can share with anyone who's i
tnerested.
